The dependence on – and subjugation of – Others in achieving self identity and global domination – whether mediated or immediate, symbolic or real, visual or auditory, Germanic, French, or English, military or economic, or maybe only cultural – was evident in many 19th Century Western Capitals. By the end of the 20th Century this became amplified and transmogrified into the logics of capital that ruthlessly echoed our ruler's orders and interests through every channel of discourse.
