Today, the capitalist ideology of "consumerism", "economic progress", and "market freedom" is the only discourse that unquestionably and un-reflectively proclaims faith in "universal happiness." And anyone who stands in opposition to these contemporary mores and values is at risk of being forcibly subdued. How many more times will "justifiable force" be used to excuse the tyrannical violation of Others considered to be "evil", all in the name of peace and security. What is at stake here is not the protection of "human rights" but the preservation of bonds and relations between fluid capital and global hegemony: the most blatant and brutal expression of the will to power yet devised.
