Hearts and Minds: The Interrogations Project was produced by Roderick Coover, Arthur Nishimoto, Scott Rettberg, and Daria Tsoupikova first developed in June 2014 for the CAVE2™ large-scale virtual-reality environment at the Electronic Visualization Lab (EVL) at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The script by Scott Rettberg is an adaptation of research by John Tsukayama including interviews with American soldiers who participated in or observed acts of abusive violence towards prisoners in Iraq.
